BR1180CD Drum Programming Questioin

Hi,
I'm upgrading from a BR8 to a BR1180CD. I was wondering if I will be able to program my own drums using only on-board tools. I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere. If you are really knowledgeable on this topic, I would also like to know if the drums take up tracks or if they are separate. Can they be edited for sound or sequence?

It's been a little while since I've worked on an 1180, but yes, you will be able to program your own drums on the unit alone. I don't have the unit in front of me, but I believe they take up track 9/10.

As far as editing, the BR-1180 gives you a choice of about 6 or so drum kits, ranging from reggae to metal. You can use any one of these, but cannot combine individual drums from the different kits (you can't have a reggae snare with a metal kick). You can also control the volume of each drum hit, as well as tempo, gate, and some other things I can't recall right now.
