I've just started using the BOSS BR-532 digital recorder and I have found that when I have my Guitar and Microphone plugged in, I end up getting distortion/clipping when I'm tried to record. I've set the input volumes so I don't get distortion but even with the master slider all the way up the sound (volume/quality) isn't very good.
If I only pug in the guitar or the microphone just by themselves, it's fine. Good volume, nice sound no distortion/clipping problems.
Since I've just starting using the BR-532, I started reading the manual (which is written VERY poorly) and I haven't seen anything that would explain why this happens and what to do about it. So, if anyone has any suggestions I'd really like to hear them.
I want to be able to record demos while playing the guitar and singing through the mic and get a decent sound without the distortion. When I'm ready to attempt a good recording I'll lay down each tack separately.
