i've been waiting a week for samson to send a couple of parts for my resolv 65as. I'm not working on them but a licensed repair center is. i have songs backed up waiting to get my monitor back and I'm starting to think this was a mistake. I'm thinking about just paying the $37 bench fee and just tossing the monitors out after i take a bat to them. i really cant afford another set of monitors right now but i'm starting to think its worth it. what do yall think? I have half a mind to bash the speakers and then box them up and send them back to samson. its not like that'd do anything but it might make me feel a little better

That would be funny, just to see what their reaction would be.. :D

I have the 65a's also but I can't comment on Samson's service as I have never had to deal with them.

One thing I do know is that they are next to go in my setup. I'll be finished paying off my Tascam 1884 soon, and when I do it's off to the music shop to get a pair of Mackie's or possibly the Event SP8's..
 
yeah...this may call for it being video taped also
 
Samson regularly takes a couple weeks (or longer) to ship parts or get to repairs.
 
Relax, have a little patience, this is just the nicotine withdrawl that's getting you all worked up. If you smash 'em you'll have to wait even longer.
 
well this factors into my decision greatly...i'm going to eat some lunch since i havent eaten anything all day. I think I'll take the weekend to make my decision and if i decide to destroy the speakers then I'll see if i can load the video and post a link for you guys.
 
LOL no if i smash them then I'll put in an order for some warfdales or something and i should have a new pair of monitors by tuesday. nicotine has nothing to do with this...my car needs an oil change among other things, i need some new business casual clothes for job interviews and some jack daniels is calling my name. oh yeah and i need a new cell phone. so quite frankly I'm putting any one of those things on the back burner cause i want my monitor back so i can get to work on mixes. oh yeah and Ivan is supposed to be dropping rain and tornados all around me....I'm a little pissed at this point and I am sooooo ready to break something.....funny....a cigarette didnt come to mind until you said nicotine

Hey DR, whatever you do(hopefully batting practice with the monitors he he)
be sure to post a video clip of the destruction. That would be great!!

Oh and be sure to get some real monitors this time-even if it means more debt-well if you care about what your playin'
 
LOL i've decided to wait it out.....I'm thinking if i keep calling and checking up, the repair shop will come down on whatever the price is....but if i can find another job...i think i might go ahead and post a destruction video...notbradsohner...under better circumstances i might have done that, but quite frankly, samson's customer service has angered me to the point of violence.
 
thats a thought...after 2 weeks samson is still holding out on one transistor....this sucks
