I used to work in a store that carried these guitars. I also own one of their archtops. They're excellent in both quality and sound. They only use the best tonewoods and use the best production techniques. Realistically, they're the same price as a nice martin or taylor, but honestly, there's no comparison. None! Of course its my opinion, and I'm sure people out there love their taylor or martin, but based on quality of wood and craftsmanship, the Bourg. is much more guitar.

Bourgeois are hand made and they are not in the same price range or class as Martins and Taylors--except the very high-end ones. Bourgeois is a major step up IMO. I believe the dreadnaughts use the old Martin pre-war bracing. I could be wrong on that, though.
So it would seem that my friend who is selling his is asking less than half what it's worth:
