hey guys, i have used Cubase for years but never knew how to export a single audio track.

Usually i just mute the other tracks and solo the one I want to bounce separately. but that usually takes up a lot of unnecessary space.

Drag and drop doesn't work on my MacBook Pro, but i know there has to be a way!

thanks in advance!

What do you mean by taking up unnecessary space?

The standard way to just export 1 track is to just Solo it and click export

oh ok, thanks for your help. Thats what i have been doing, but doesnt the file size gets larger from having all the muted tracks getting bounced down as well? it doesn't really bug me that much i was just wondering if there was another way to do it.

The idea of having a multitrack setup is to eliminate the bouncing down process and give you complete control over all recorded sources at mixdown.

That's what cubase 4 does

Also bouncing down a couple of tracks with one track muted will be the same size as bouncing down a couple of tracks with 20 tracks muted.
