Hi,

How do I convert music files from my Boss BR 800 into a stereo recording prior to burning a cd? I master my music track, preview it, exit and turn mastering off. Next I select ?USB? then ?wav?, open my PC to activate the on screen wav converter (BRWC300), select the file and download but it doesn't show the stereo link bar and only saves as a mono file. I am obviously missing doing something vital here! Has anyone any ideas?

Thanks and regards.

I don't have the 800 but on my BR600, I just bounce the files to track 7/8 and then move to the "Mastering" option. At that point, I select a mastering preset and then hit record and wait as it applies the effects in real time. Afterwards, I export the WAV to my computer to burn it to a CD or convert it to MP3.

If this doesn't help you at all, you can find the manual and some other documents for your device here: BOSS U.S. - Product Manuals

Boss BR 800 mastering

Hi,

Thank you for the reply which is really helpful.

Does the original recorded file name remain the same throughout the process even when it is loaded onto my computer for cd burning, or does it adopt a modified title? How can I be sure otherwise I am not simply uploading the original unmastered file if you see what I mean?

Regards and thanks again.

Anthony

Are you sure you are exporting into a mono track - it may be the software you are using on your computer?
