I am looking for some more info on this product. It was recently introduced at NAMM. It is basically a 4-Track version of the BR-8, but it uses SmartMedia cards instead of Zip Disks.
I am primarily concerned with how this recorder stores data. All that I know is that it uses a 44.1 sampling rate. Does it compress, what's the bit depth, etc.
This is exactly what I am looking for in a recorder. I have a Yamaha QY-70 that I use for sequencing, and I need something to lay down a few "real" tracks and some vocals. This seems to be it.
Check it out:

If anyone can help that would be great.
Thanks
