I have just purchased the Boss BR1600 and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a carrying case made for it. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

BR1600

I also recently purchased one. See my other posts related to this model. I have learned a couple things since posting my 'complaints'. Generally like it, would love to hear your feedback after using it as well. Not sure about the carrying case, but I would like to get one as well. Good luck.

I've been looking at the BR1600 myself.. I can't find any details on the onboard drum machine/rythym pattern thing, is this a real mini-sequencer or so I still need a sequencer for drums? I'm searching the Roland site but it's like trying to find a penny in a pool of quicksand, everywhere I go I get deeper and deeper but more lost! :O

DRums on the BR1600CD

I am pretty new at this, but have used mine for a month or so now. I would say the drums are pretty 'limited' in terms of the sounds you can create. I think there are 'easier' ways to input the sounds than what I have been doing...I still have some learning to do, but I have found it tedious and difficult to input that stuff. I suppose if you could master 'playing' the sounds using the track selection buttons, it would be easy. I have been using the microscope which is really hard to do for any length of time. I was reading up a little last night on the Step method, which is probably what I should have been doing. Anyway, the sounds that ARE there sound good, but there just aren't that many. It comes with a LOT of drum patterns from various genres, and I have only scratched the surface in using them.

The FENDER DELUXE EFFECTS GIGBAG works perfectly for this machine. I got it at musiciansfriend.com for about $35. I have also ordered the video users manual and should be receiving it soon. It's been on back order, since they hadn't finished it yet. You can order it at the Roland site.
