I have a Boss Br-1180 and I am recording my band but we are using a drum machine for the recordings. Everything seems to be going well except I get way too much bass from the Bass Guitar and Bass Drum. I have listened to it in diffferent speakers and it always seems to bottom out. I have the sensitivity down plenty enough that it's not peaking also. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

Push the select the track your bass is on, push the EQ button and make sure it's on that you have the right track selected. You can do this after it's recorded also. It's probably just needs tweaking. Are you using a patch or recording it dry?

I'm recording through a Bass POD then direct into the 1180.

Are you sure the COSM effect is off going into the board? There's the line in button that lights up, and then the COSM button CANNOT be lit up if you are using the POD. If you're using both that could very well be your problem.

Yep, definitely make sure the COSM effects are off...otherwise WOW does it boost!!!! Although combining the COSM effects with my GT-6 effects, I can get some crazy sounds which i have used recording. It is just very tough to EQ when doing that.

I've done that by accident, using the GT8 and going through a mic patch by accident.
