Does ANYONE have any suggestion for any books that I should buy to learn as much as I CAN learn from a book. I know that there is NO substitute for raw hands on experience but I live in Munich Germany and that is a bit difficult since I speak very little German (I am from the US). Also if you have a sugestion please give me the exact title because I will have to order it from the internet. Not too many Englsih books here. I have seen the books on this website and and palning on checking them out. However I was wondering if anyone had an "ace in the hole" type of recorders BIBLE that has been invaluable to them???

Beggingly yours,
Mike

Hello over there

I don't know if there is a book in existance for an all around type book, however, I don't think your going to find a better book than this BBS. As far as I am concerned, this BBS is my book. I have gathered so much information from here and I have never flet like I was bothering anyone. If you have spent very much time here, you will see that not only can you find anything that you ever want to know about home recording, but also that there are a whole lot of people that are willing and eager to help. Adn besides that, you do not have to buy anything. IT'S FREE.

Hey Mike, save your deutsche marks, and question away
rite here. Like JC Lives stated earlier.I,like you also, started from ground-zero. I also contemplated purchasing books to cover my shortcomings, but started to bomb this BBS with questions ranging from "what kind of cable should I use?" to "What is a block error rate and how does this relate to various cd burning speeds?".
So just simply ask away.
Peace
