Gidge, thanks. Let's see. jerry came over (rare, that he does), and perry (who I forgot to plug) on bass. I was excited about jerry being there. he's an original member of the spencer hill band and did most of the lead vocals. Anyway, I just set up both the v67s in front of us about 4 feet away. The bass is just picking up thru both mics from the amp, which is about 10 feet away. The mics are running thru a blue tube and into the 788. And we just played. I got about 10 tunes that night, complete with missed words, chords, and instructions being yelled out every now and then. he he he he. Some of the tunes I hadn't done in years. Then a few days later watt came by and we put the mando and fiddle on some of the tunz. And for some unknown reason last week I got into picking the old banger, and after a couple days of practice (damn my fingers hurt) I put the banger on 5-6 tunz. This one was kinda the best of the bunch. And yes, perry and I were drunk. jerry don't drink no more. But we were all getting very "cloudy". he he he he. I really didn't think I'd get much of a sound, but it turned out ok, so I saved it, and burnt a cd for jerry and his wife.
pw, thanks man. If yo bro is a REAL bluegrass banger player he'll get a good laugh outa this.
