Anyone heard anything about this? It's a little blue and white thing. Kind of cute lookin'.

it does look cool. does anyone have a review for it?

All I know is that it's freaking HUGE! Have you seen it in person? My goodness, I don't have the empty table space for that thing to fit anywhere. Why they wouldn't have made something that would fit into a rack is beyond me.

Sorry I don't have a better review, but I took one look and looked the other way...nothing to see here ma'am.

H2H

really?! in the pictures it looks as big as an RNP or RNC...damn

naaahh, its not huge:

Dimensions: 81/2'L X 81/4'W X 51?4'H

funny.....it looks JUST like the head of the robot that came with the original Nintendo Entertainment Systems back in the 80s (along with the light gun that you used to play Duck Hunt). This robot was called (guess what?) ROBBIE and stood for Robotic Operating Buddy......you gave it another controller and it spun little gyroscopes to help you open doors in games like Gyromite, etc.

it was a pretty massive flop (it sucked--Gyromite was MUCH easier to play by working the 2nd controller yourself) and they quickly released a version of the NES without Robbie and since the price decreased considerably, they sold a LOT more of em......

i wonder if there's some sort of trademark or copyright infringement that Nintendo can enforce here.....i'll see if i can't find a picture of said robot this evening so everyone knows i'm not totally crazy.

cheers,
wade

For some reason its design reminds me of something Steve Jobs would make. They should call it the Blue "iPre." hehehe ;)

I see what you mean, MrFace

Sebatron make a great sounding discrete, class A tube preamp that sells around $850 for a single channel + shipping--$1350 for two channels.

Is it safe to say that a BLUE Robbie Pre would match up well with a BLUE Dragonfly Mic?

Never know until you actually TRY but I'd assume so.....

Yes, the Nintendo thing was named R.O.B. (like Robot...get it).

Here's a nice pic...

Anyway, anyone ever used one? I'm thinking of buying it, but there's not much history on it yet!

Have not heard one, but several folks I respect have a they say it is unreal! They say it blows away anything in it's price range. I guess we'll soon find out.

It was way bigger in person than I was expecting, too.
