YUP! Thats about my experience w/ Crate! The only amp I ever literally caught on fire was a Crate(????Vintage Club?????).

Seriously though, I have played through some totally usable Crates back in the day. I just wouldnt sink too much money into one.

We should just totally eliminate the search function so we can discuss the same stuff over and over every few weeks.

No, we should just be a little more tolerant and not immediately jump on someone with sarcastic remarks just because they happen to bring up a topic that was discussed some time in the past. IMO, of course.

If you really want to start a movement to eliminate the search function, though, it's OK with me... ;^)

Arguing over someone posting an old topic rather than searching has been covered in other threads, if you'd use the search function, you'd know that. Please cease all activity and report to a totally unique topic in a section of the forum of your choice.

I doubt that anyone ever thought ... "Hey .... let me do a search on the Blackheart Little Giant"

That head looks like it's the same thing as an Epi so that's not attractive to me.
The whole thing that makes it interesting to me are the tone controls.

I don't think it's the same as the Epi.

I've heard that The Killer Ant (the little head that Buck posted) is .5 watts. Point 5 watts..

And BTW, the Blackheart was not designed by Crate. It was designed by an amp guru named Pyotr Belov, who originally built this amp in his garage. Belov went to Crate because they have the money and factories for mass production and a huge distribution network for national and international sales.

Which is probably why it sounds so good.

Ditto ...... if it were something more general that has been discussed dozens and dozens of times before then I could see your point. But there's been like what .... one thread about it before?
If you're already so bored with the subject why not just skip on to another thread and ignore it?
