It starts a tad lounge-lizardy, but picks up a head of steam soon after ...

Prog-lounge, haven't heard that term before Cool, typing as listening... cool mood to start with, nice piano sound... impressive singing too... yeah, hits a good groove at 1:17, nice mix sound, very clean and distinct... Cool, prog stuff starts around 2:30, nice... 3:13, sounds like it's building to something... but went back into the main rhythm... Cool build to the chorus at 4:14... overall no real nits from me, sounds well recorded and mixed, you'll have to wait for nits from someone else Cheers

Kev.....nice stuff man. Vocals carry this for me.....they are spot on. Music is good, but the vocal delivery is nice. Very good arrangement all around, and the sounds are mixed well. I'd try and nit it, but it would all be personal preference stuff.
You put another great one together. Maybe someone else can give you pointers....I can't.

I mixed this one using some different techniques. I used to employ an L2 across the main bus, but I was mixing everything too hot -- because the L2 let me do it and would cover my back -- at the sacrifice of warmth and depth.

So I switched over to light compression vs brickwall limiting, and I've started to remix a bunch of tunes employing the different philosophy.

I think it really kind of adds a lot of space to this type of mix.
