`I like this song` - Covers his head with his arms to
protect himself from any blows.
I think this type of thing has its place. Its cuddly and warm. Ok it reeks of commercial production, the vocals have certainly been `corrected`. I don`t look at all saints, I just hear the sounds and I think some of these engineers are talented people. Let`s forget the girls themselves. They are just the sex behind the bucks. I like a good tune and that`s the main thing for me. When the industrial artist gets a contract there is a need to produce a certain quota. Some are good, a lot are crap.
 
Yes...

...a very good song. It's kind of ironic -- most of us would do anything to get our songs heard, and we demean songwriters who get heard the most.
 
:p: I like black coffee too, ... OH you mean the song. Naa, not too much. But you guys are right about the engineers, they must be gods to make "them" sound good.
 
Since This IS A Songwriting Forum..

I will say that Difford/Tillbrook of Squeeze is one of the greatest songwriting teams in the last 20 years.
Nice to see intelligent,witty lyrics along with simple,
catchy melodies.
