I plan on recording the guitar over with less distortion, but what do you think of it?
Drums are distant and lack some punch. I agree it should be less distortion on guitar, the tone of the guitar doesn't match the lead vox timbre; the singing is too "gentle" for that much crunch. A more blusey sound will suit it better. Vox need a little edge in the EQ, for my taste, and are a little dry and a teeny bit upfront. It's kinda like "OK, I'm a guitarist and singer, and here's a song; oh, yeah, I suppose some drums and bass ought to be in there so it sounds more like a band"; a guitarist-centric mix... The playing is fine, though if you printed the effects on the guitar, you should re-cut, I agree.Dan Barnes said:I plan on recording the guitar over with less distortion, but what do you think of it?
