Binaural recording

Hello guys! I searched on how to do this for a few days, and as the noob I am, I still have questions about how to do it.
So, according to Wiki, I'll need two microphones that are placed 18 cm (7") apart facing away from each other. I plan to use the Behringer C2 microphones, that will need phantom power, which will be provided by a Behringer Xenyx Q802 USB. Is there anything else I'll need for recording things?

As I don't have the money for a Neumann KU-100, I plan to build the dummy head myself. Any suggestions? And... sorry that I can't post links.

There was a guy that used to post here a long time ago that made his binaural own mics out of earbuds. He wore them in his ears as he recorded. His sound clips were awesome - especially through headphones. He'd put in his earbud mics and walk around recording stuff. A car would drive by, or a plane would fly overhead and it sounded like it was happening right there in the room with you. Very cool stuff.
 
Binural recording is very cool stuff. You can capture the room as it sounds to a person in a certain position.

Greg are you going to offer any suggestions? Why aren't you dissing "his" homemade mics? Are they even relative to this OP's question, what your friend did?

Are you done, Greg? No advice? Just bragging that you knew someone who could build a mic that worked nice.

I would like to add a couple links.

Would the moderator/forum owner please disable gregs ability to post in this thread after he is finished.

Unless he has some further suggestions or tips to help the poster record with this mic placement technique.

I will wait my turn till he is finished. If the mod could PM me when, that would be nice.

Then the poster could have 2 ideas to try instead of my 1.

After 10 post, you should be able to add links. Look at the text window, on top and you will see a globe with a link. You can add it there. (If you hover over the icons, it will give you a "link" test as part of help.
 
I need no instructions how to place a link of clip or video. Thanks DM. Im waiting to offer an idea for the poster how to do this binaural setup. I have some clips I made and a video.

I am waiting until greg is done giving his advice.

You'd really need the B5 with the omni capsules or the 8000 (omni measurement mic). Otherwise, you aren't really going to get anything different from a typical ORTF recording (the C2 has a cardiod pickup pattern).
