Big Drum Fuzz

Hey its me thedukeofearl, and ive got a problem recording my drums onto my teac 80-8 i never had this problem before, when i was cheap and had one dynamic for the whole kit, but now i got a 4 kit of audix drum mics, and when i record im gettin this fuzz which is annoying as hell, and want it gone. What might be the problem??

1. is it happening with all of the mics and all of the channels to which they are connected?

2. What is the model number of the mic set?

3. What are the mics connected to?

is it coming through clear on your board, and just fuzzy on playback from tape? or are you overdriving the tape or the inputs on the board?
