I hope I titled that right. More importantly hope it goes here.

Ok here is my issue, (one of many but something that dosn't require therapy. Yet.)

I recently went out and purchased some gear and have begun the journey of another expensive hobby, maybe more we'll see. :D

Anyhoo, I have a question which I can't figure out on my own (obviously) which is probably something pretty simply but I just don't get it.

For example let's say I have two instruments, vocalists, whatever and I want to apply an indivudal effect to each of them (ie. a seperate effect for each) but only have the sound play in the monitoring, their headphones etc. But not in the mix so that it comes out effectless or I believe the term is dry.

Currently all I have are the following:

Behringer 1204PROFX Mixer
Behringer Pro HA4600

The only thing I can figure with my uneducated mind is that I could run some effects box or boxes on the Aux Buses one on 1 and one on 2.

So I use the Aux Sends (1,2) on the mixer to each effects unit then simply throw back the individual returns through the appropriate AUX IN on the HA4600 and mix then mix appropriately for the individual preformer(s).

Or is that wrong or is there a blantantly simpiler way to do this?

And so of course the next question is does anyone also have reccomendtations for decent (sub 200.00) effects units that are pretty smooth, not even necessarily lend themselves to the above mentioned application???

Egh this is waytoo long sorry about that and thanks in advance to all the more intelligent people you might respond.

:D
