If you come over to the rap forum, you'll see that alot of us hate that commercial stuff because it gives rap a bad name. The industry is targeting this "party music" at mostly teens and most of it has no lyrical meaning or value. Also, the beats are starting to get worse! I'm a rapper and true musician myself and i understand why some people wouldn't like rap when you hear some of the crap that gets on the radio these days.

I've been thinking about that cad m179. I've had a hard time finding samples of someone using it on rap tho. I know there's no "perfect" mic for rap and that there are alot of variables that determine how different individuals recordings will sound but i'm interested in hearing some examples of the cad or the at4040 on a rap song. Tried searching soundclick thru google advanced search but only got samples of at4040 that sounded kinda bad(muffled). Didn't get any samples of the cad.

i didn't find one of your songs with lyrics, but i would say you should get into thinking about sounds that you hear in your day. get into sampling and creating a beat. you can still use a kick from midi if you can't find anything decent, but the fake hand clap and the whistle doesn't seem very personalized. make your beats from a part of you, and not what you've heard, or some midi samples.

Most of that stuff is old anyway. I'm working on adding some new stuff to the page. I got alot of music i've made but i don't feel comfortable puttin the real good stuff on the net, feel me? Next thing you know, somebody will copy my style and it won't be my style anymore!
