It is known that video problems can effect the sound, and even result in noice, static and crackle.
What is the most suitable and trouble-free video card for dedicated DAW box?

Any card that has a known history of great drivers.... nVidia is a great one to start.

But usally, most cards sold today she be good enough.

Geforce3TI200 is a good card at a good price point. About $140. Get a Geforce 2 if you dont want to spend that much.

GeForce4

Greetings,

The Geforce 4 is coming out soon.....it could run most of my computers by itself.

The Radeon8500 has duel monitor support...how cool is that

ihad the g400 i think it was, come to find out it was the reason my system kept freezing. i use a ati right now, i'm gonna change it soon because it goes in another machine

If you want the dual monitor outputs, I'd rec. a GeForce2MX with the Dual Monitor out... they go for real cheap nowadays...

ATI has had a history of driver issues... which is sad cause they're a Canadian company and I would've wanted to root for them. Oh well.

I don't see Matrox lasting to long in the industry either...

Thanks, guys.
I installed Sis 315 based 4xAGP videocard and I am very happy with result. And it is real cheap.
