Best sdc mic for around $200.00?

I would love a pair of Neumann 184's, but the price is WAY too much. I've been watching on ebay for some Rode NT5's. I have a pair of MXL 991's I'm strongly thinking about sending to Michael Jolly for mods. I will be using the mics for recording choirs and bands on location using my Tascam DP-24. Would like to hear some words of wisdom on this subject.

Not the same thing but I have a pair of Joly MXL 603's and they are so clear and detailed it's scary.

You can always find a very reputable brand name microphone used for a wee bit over the price in your budget.

I use a pair of Berliner CM33 that I got for $300 new on eBay and they are awesome... very true to the source they are recording.

They don't get much attention for whatever reason, but the Avantone CK-1 is an awesome sdc for the price. One goes for like $150 new now, but I picked up a used pair in September for $175 total. Good builds, clean sound, and 3 interchangeable capsules just like the big boys each mic comes with it's own shockmount too! You should definitely check them out!
