I don't actually know Killing Joke at all, but I checked on Google, and the song in question is called Eighties, from 1984. Apparently Dave Grohl later played on one of their albums, which was perhaps a way of apologising.

Outshined - Soundgarden
Rusty Cage - Soundgarden
4th of July - Soundgarden
Fell on Black Days - Soundgarden
Would - Alice in Chains
Rotten Apple - Alice in Chains
Old Man - Neil Young
Aneurism - Nirvana
Alive - Pearl Jam
My Name is Mud - Primus (bass)

Come As You Are sounds like a Killing Joke song?

Which Killing Joke song? I'm a fan of the band but don't have a great deal of their albums...What's This For? (which I don't like), Pandemonium and Democracy.

It's Eighties and it's on Killing Joke's Nighttime LP, and yes, it's a direct lift.

Grohl plays on the last KJ record, and it's incredibly good. Not a lot of people are familiar with Killing Joke, but an awful lot of bands owe a debt to them. Not unlike Wire.

WIRE -- you're old, aren't you?

:P

(I got a pic of me from back in the day in my faded killing joke tshirt. great band)

Put it this way, I was about four years old when Wire was having their hayday. They got back together a couple of years ago and did the Read and Burn EP's and the Send LP. If you like Pink Flag, Chairs Missing, and 154, you'll love the new stuff. I hope to god they keep recording fresh stuff. Wire rules.

i need shooting for my musical opinions, but...
