Anyone have any thoughts on what are the best plugins for Adobe Audition?...i know this is a genreal question.

I'm really looking for a good compressor, EQ and Reverb. Any good free ones?...I just downloaded the Beta Bugs Bugpack, haven't tried it out yet.

Thanks!

Brian

You pretty much get what you pay for. There are some that are cheaper, some that are more expensive, but as a general rule of thumb, the more you pay, the better they sound.

I've had good results with the waves plugins and izotope's stuff. the plugins that come with 2.0 are pretty good as well.

One thing that I've noticed that is if I'm only working with the VST's and a single wave file, if I apply more than mabey 2 or 3 plugins, a lot of them will be grayed out for some reason. I just put them all into the mastering rack.

Then again, the problem I encounter with that is if I want to use the Waves 10 band eq, I have to for some reason manually put it in the mastering rack each time I go to edit a file. Doesn't matter if I load the direct X or VST version. wierd.

I wish someone really would make a list of what they use the most with Audition tho...

I don't want to do research and tryout the millions of plugins and free plugins.. I'd rather try out the few recommended! ahah lazy? maybe...

but the person who said you get what you pay for... thats correct... people will say tehre are some good free plugins but i dont really aggree.. they are plugins that can do some stuff but nothing too spectacular to my knowledge...

Most people who use the Waves plugins say they're good quality and straightforward to use.
