What are the best powered monitors for $400.00?

I got an M-Audio active pair I got for $300.00. And I don't have any complaints!

I'm using a pair of Yorkville YSM1i's. I'm quite happy with them, especially since I got em new off ebay for $200. I think you can get them for around $300.

Well what I was looking at was a speaker that looks "cool" And one thats powered and one that is absolutley neutral in terms of sound coloration and shit. Remember 400. for the pair...

I think those M-Audio Studiophiles have a blue light that is reported to look pretty cool, as well as increasing sonic fidelity.

I have to agree with the above. In your price range, M Audio SP5B has very little real competition. I admit they're far from the best near field monitors I heard, but they're the best ones I can afford for now-Richie

You Know when you listen to multiple pairs in a room with the same recording. I ultimately ended up with Yamaha NS10s
