well which one do you think sounds best there is many choices out there ... or should i stick with DI box

Would (you..oops :rolleyes: like to track with both just to be for sure for sure?
RE-20's right in there. Almost any decent condensor could get you in the ballpark.

The Audio-Technica ATM25 is very reasonably priced and performs well at this application. The RE20 can be great. Some people think the AT4033 is an incredible bass cab mic.

i asked the same question a few days ago and got a good response from people. Managed to compile a large list of mic's from the help i was given, and can post it here for you if thats any help???? :cool:

Its hard to say which mic is best as it depends on the sound you are going for. Its also down to everyones personal opinion as to what they think sounds GOOD. Someone might think their mic sounds great but you may think it sounds crap!

DJL has given you a link to the thread i started. Hope its of help :D

I must be getting jaded, tend to lump mics like these into general groups;
RE-20 -flat with no proximity boost (also very even off-axis, a rare bonus), condensers or other 'kick/bass mics with prox boost, kick/bass' mics with a little or a lot of scoop.

Audix D4 will do the job. I own of these, plus a couple ATM25.
