How about some feedback on your favorite choices for kick drum mic...Shure Beta 52...AKG D112...Audix D6...or something else...please feel free to recommend...Thanks!

I've used three kick drum mics: Audio-Technica Pro 25, AKG D112, and the Audix D6. My favorite for the stuff I do is the Audix.

It kinda depends on what you're looking for (how many times have i started a response with that i wonder). I prefer the Beta 52 for my band (acoustic/electric based bluesy-rock). For a more focused "tight" sound, to my ears the D112 might be a better choice.

it's hard to say whats "best", if you want a very natural sound, get yourself an md421 (also awesome on guitar cabs and toms) if you want a phat 60 ish kick get m88, if you want a modern heavy rockish click with plenty of bottom end get an audix D6.. if you want to spend alot of money get an re20 then mail it to me
