G gatholonobs New member Dec 3, 2005 #5 If you can't afford a $500 mic then get a sure SM-57 Unless you have no reservations about investing a massive amount of money in a mic you really can't go wrong with a SURE SM-57.

B bcains New member Dec 3, 2005 #7 I like MD412s for rock male vocals. As noted up top RE20, SM7 etc are all good.
