Hi, I'm in a Metal Band based in the UK, we had an old demo that was recorded and mixed really badly, by myself.
We have a studio locally, the only one for a long distance, but I have heard that they are very bad at mixing, it is the only place we can really go for recording, so... What we are planning to do is record the tracks at the studio and find someone else to mix it for us.
Any recommendations for studios who do 'remote' mixing, i.e. I send them CDs with the tracks on.
I have been in touch with Ken at www.protoolsmixing.com, he seems to provide a great service, but charges $500 per song, which may be a bit over our budget, if we can get the money together we may get him to do it though.
It will probably be at least a few months before we have the tracks ready to be mixed but I thought it would be best to look early as oppose to later.
Thanks in advance
Simon
