berhinger or ns10's

hey all
just wondering quickly i get some ns 10's or the berhinger truth monitors???/
ive got some mackie actives ive been borrowing for the past year and i gotta give em back.
should i get the berhingers just because they are ment to be sorta like the mackies???? i was warned by a guy at my work that they have had a few berhinger sets back coz they F*(#Ked up.
im confused.
oh yeah i can really only spend bout 1000 aus dollars

I would probably go NS10s the B Truths get a bad rap by almost everyone. You might consider Tannoys or Yorkvilles also. This board pretty much hates the truths, at least I am pretty sure of that. Do a search on that. NS10s are getting harder to find though, since they don't make them anymore. Anyway, hope I helped some.

i know someone who has 2 pairs of ns 10s and he said he'd sell me a pair.
i thought bout the yorkvilles but i havent seen them here in aus yet.
and ive listen to the reveals a fair bit .
oh well ill just get the ns 10s and if i dont like then ill just sell them.
 
get the ns10ms

With them, when you take your mix to another system, nothing strange pops out at you.
 
Gotta admit I love my Truths. I also loved the sound of my NS10s, but I couldn't mix on them for some reason, so I got rid. I find mixing much easier and more accurate on the Truths.
 
You won't hear much unbiased information about Behringer here. Go listen to the monitors yourself. It doesn't matter that much what other people say. Behringer makes some pretty good stuff. I would imagine that the Truths aren't really that bad.
