I wish to use it for vocals (demo)
 
Hey,

I just bought a XM2000s and it is not a bad sounding mic. Mind you a decent pre-amp is going to help. I've bought it just for doing demo quality vocal recordings and it works fine. I mean, for $34 CAN you can't beat it. The other great thing is that you can use it for micing guitars too!

I tried it on a few voices. And for the price it's an ok microphone, better than I expected. I actually liked it a little better than their dedicated vocal dynamic (XM8500) on both my own and a female voice. But don't expect to much at this price, and ask yourself if you shouldn't put down some more cash and go Shure, Sennheiser or EV.
