Behringer UMX61?

Looks fine to me.

It IS a Behringer though --- they make some things very well and others very poorly...

I will be quite interested to see what people think of these, because if they're no crappier than most general synth-action plastic-key midi controllers it would be nice to grab one so that I could play pieces that required a larger octave range than my 25 key controller.

I've just started looking and these and the e-mu xboard 49 are on my short list. I can't find any reviews of the Berhingers' anywhere. I guess they are new?

I've used one

I have used this for live gigging. Had the UMX61 connected to my laptop. Used my M-Audio FastTrac pro for the line out. Used it with the soundFonts.it stuff and the B4 module with great success.

I would reccomend getting it if you are looking for a decent action keyboard for virtual synth use. Live or recording.

I dont know the Price is right 150 bucks for a 61 key midi controller keyboard however you can get a Yamaha ypt 300 for about the same price.

Guitar Slim

I have a UMX61 and it's OK for the money. I bought mine used for 99.00.

I can't seem to get it to work with ProTools. I have an MBox 2 interface and some ProTools plug-ins with synth software. I can use it outside ProTools through the MBox 2 into my studio monitors, utilizing the same synth software on my PC. So far no luck inside ProTools.

Anyone have any ideas?
