I was looking for a cheap solution to A/B multiple sets of monitors and the MiniMon seemed to fit the bill. I was able to input my Tascam 2488 and M-Audio Audiophile USB and output my BX5's and Event 20/20's. Everything worked great...for the first day or so. Then I thought I had blown a speaker as the sound from right speaker was very fuzzy and distorted. I then tried the other monitors and it was the same way. Hooked them up directly to the Tascam and everything sounded great.
Ok, MiniMon sent back and exchanged for a new one. Again, worked great for the first few days, then the same distorted-muffled sound happened.
I know, I know...what do you expect from a Behringer product?? But I read some decent reviews on this thing. Maybe it's something I'm doing. The connections are unbalanced. Let's say I used a balanced TRS (I don't think I did, but let's pretend)...would that cause the problem I'm experiencing?
