Merry Christmas and a happy new year to everyone. What does this equipment enhance, the overall sound of the whole mix or just particular instruments that you want to place emphasys on? Thanks,

It's the kind of thing a DJ might put on his mix for the bass boosting and "enhancing" effect. It's sort of Behringer's version of the BBE sonic maximizer or the Aphex Aural Exciter. I wouldn't even use it at all for anything I do, live or in the studio (and one studio I work in has one). It is really a sort of eq.
