Behringer B1 Opinions

That was a great objective comparison. To my ears, the Neuman TLM 103 and the AT4050 sounded really good. I did not listen to all of them.
I was thinking of buying the AT4050 now I am pretty sure that's the one. I wish there was a similar test with vocalists.
 
Thanks for the link. I had a hard time distinguishing the different preamps with the AT4050. They kind of all sounded the same, which was pretty good. I am listening to them through my SonyMDR-7506 Headphones.
 
Well fellas, I've had a few days with the B1 now, and so far am pleased with it. On acoustic guitar it was necessary to roll off the high freqs a bit (16k and above), the string noise was slightly out front. Vox were clean and flat, no eq.

For what I'm doing right now the Behringer is performing well. That doesn't mean I won't outgrow it (isn't that what we do?), but the rabid anti-christ sentiments seemed a bit over the top, considering how this mic is performing for me. To each our own, I guess.

I'm sure that as soon as I get spoiled to a higher-end mic the B1 will take a back seat...
