well.......
you can most certainly plug in the mikes like that. you aren't going to hurt anything anyway.
those inputs do not have preamps on them though, and you will have to crank that gain all the way up to get a usable signal.
if you use the 1/4's make sure the mikes are matched (at leaswt the same kind/type) because the eq settings will affect both mikes equally. like using a pair of overhead symbol mikes for a drum kit
the ideal situation ( i realize this is overkill for a 1202 board) would be to run the other 4 mikes thru a preamp (there are plenty of 4 and 8 channel preamps out there, behringer has one) and then feed the preamp into the board.
