Howdy, I am toying with the idea of remixing one of my tunes. My plan is to dump 2 tracks - a guitar and a vocal - into ACID and then add new drums, bass, etc. When I import these wav. files, should I do them as one shots, or as beatmapper files? The tracks will already follow a certain tempo, so I am not sure which would benefit me - I am not planning to change the original tempo of the tracks either - does that help me choose whick type of track I should import?
Does this make sense? It seems like beatmapper would be the best, because it finds the downbeat, and therefore, it should snap nicely into ACID and I can add loops and one shots in time. Is my assumption correct? If I import as a one shots, it seems like I will need to do more work, nudging the track to beat one of a measure, etc. Do I have even a slight grasp on what I am talking about, or am I missing this whole concept? Thanks.
