I still wanna do Helter Skelter. I hope I can work on it this week.... :D

The sound is kinda lofi!

You fluffed the lyrics and solo, but it's overall a pretty nice off-the-cuff rendition of this song, & is a huge crowd pleaser! You guys obviously have a very strong stage presence!! ;)

I've already proven to the world I know all about lofi sound, fluffed lyrics and solos, so no offense, eh? Heh. ;) I never had any stage presence, though, so you got me there.

It could stand for a bit more polishing up, but I can tell it was a very exciting live music moment! Thanx for posting this solid effort!

So now you're thinkin' I should prob'ly put up or shut up, eh?

This one's been dying to be aired out for a while. Catch the smell of mothballs? Heh.

We worked on this extensively, and the only thing I've ever been marginally unhappy about is that my voice breaks once or twice on the turnaround. I think it was the beer affecting my vocal cords. In fact, I'm sure it was, but I only realized it later on, down the road. We'd drink copius amounts "King Cobra" at practice sessions!! That's some kickass malt liquor, man! It's amazing we sounded this good!

Recorded live-to-stereo onto standard cassette at home. This cut was featured as-is on my "I'm No John Lennon Collection" cd!!! ;)

Hi folks,
I was reluctant to add this one, since a version has already been posted, but WTH. It took me almost a whole year to finish this one. This thread is what actually prompted me to finish it.

Here it is....Lemme know whatcha think.

Yeah, we need to work on that song some more (a lot more), but we had fun doing it. I actually play bass in this band, and it is a lot of fun. My favorite part is right before the outro solo, that descending bass fill. I have no idea how I did that, it just kinda came out, but hey, I was happy. I still can't believe I pulled that off. :D I suppose that that is my favorite because I'm the bass player. :D

Thanks for the listen, and the comments. That was our first gig, and we need all the help we can get.

Thanks!

tourettes5139 and A Reel Person I enjoyed the versions of Come Together... it's such a classic.

lexridge - wow, that's an excellent arrangement of Norwegian Wood. Knockout vocal performance and tone... no big deal about a little sibilance - easily dealt with using a de-esser. Great pitch control... if the vocal's autotuned it's not apparent.

Thanks for the kind words, Mr. Lawler. :) The lead vocal was never meant to be double tracked, but it just worked out that way. I record this stuff in my very un-acoustic garage. You know, concret floor, block walls. Ugggh! The only thing miced were the vocals and tambourine. Everything else was direct in.

The original tracks (two guitars and bass) were recording early summer of '04, on a sb live card, and was finally re-visited in December, when I first found this forum. Everything was then converted to 32 bit float from 16 bit .wavs recorded in CEP. I was never happy with the guitar parts, just not right exactly, but I was too lazy to fix them. Oh well. :)

My current project is doing a remake of Bobbi Gentry's "Ode to Billy Joe." It's rockin man!

Everybody,... I love you!!

Everybody,... I do!! ;)

...

Ah yes, what a beautiful rendition of Norwegian Wood!

I'm so glad the Beatles still inspire so much beautiful vibes and inspiration in people! Especially since I hack them practically to death,... heh,... but the vibe is an undeniably strong and solid message of LOVE!

Love, love, love!
All you need is love!
Here, there and everywhere!
Yeah, yeah, yeah!
Dig it! Dig it! Dig it!
Get back to where you once belonged, Nowhere Man!
Hello!
Goodbye! ;)

Thanks, davemania! :) I've been enjoying listening to some of your stuff as well. Nicely done!

Hey, cool baby, I can dig it!...

Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to play, but it wanted a quicktime plugin download. Any way that could be ported over to Windows MP? Actually waiting in anticipation to hear your tune.

Thx, I'll catch it soon, 1 way or another.

The Beatles rule, anyway u slice it, dice it, hack it or slack it!

Gosh, that's totally great, all around!

You should be on real radio with that one!! ;) That's totally awesome!! Thanx!!
