ok, i've got two new mixes of active songs i'm working,
these are the 2nd set of mixes of these two songs i've posted.

i mixed these two during the same session,
curious to see if they translate together.

"Angel", and "Moonshine"

Angel: Good sounds overall. The mix is pulling me to the left because of the thick bass or guitar and the snare as well as the more prominent guitar parts.

Hey dude.... LOOONG time no listen!

Was just cruzin the internet looking for samicide's tune "riches to rags" and it led me here. Thought I'd look at the ancient MP3 Mixing Clinic, and saw a familiar name.

Last tune from you think I heard was "Take it All". 2002-2003?? Are you still in the SLC?

Good stuff! Great guitar as before, and the mixing is tons better. Vocs are better than then too! The only thing I'm hearing is maybe some low clean up needed on the Angel track. Great stuff!

but --
i've been in colorado for the last 4 days,
I've been at "Guitar town", at copper mountain,
in summit county,
and saw some killer guitar players put on some serious concerts over 2 days time

yep, still in salt lake, but living in the 'county' now!
LOL

the low end on ANGEL is tricky, for sure...

it's a single stereo track that has the drums and a synth bass...

so anything i eq in the low end, effects both the low end of the bass line, and the low end power of the drums.
i've got what i consider the best compromise eq going on.....
but i'm still tweaking, so i'll look at that some more......
