a nice swampy hard rock groove, from my 1st album.

I love your guitar playing/style! Your stuff always sounds pro to me.....no nits....just rocks!!!!!

alright queepy!
thanks for breaking the ice......

this is a fun riff to play...
works on acoustic, or on super heavy grind sound...

Rock on.... I have new monitors so I don't know if this is accurate but the only real thing I might fool with would be cutting just a touch of the low end off of the guitars... but I always like my guitars a little bright..

Good stuff, some real fine playing.

sounds good to me..kinda reminds me of something ratt might do..and i defiantly don`t mean that as a bad thing by no means..
thanks for sharing..

Holy shit. Is my comment to this.

Holy......... Shit!

Perfect. Incredibly inspiring. How can this not be a commercial release?

The vocals always give your tracks a Proggy edge - it's the similarity with Jon Anderson in my ears I suppose.
Stellar recording, playing & mixing as usual.
This is the stuff of recording contracts to my mind.

hey guys, sorry i'm late to these comments...
i thought this one had died down..

and

i got my new album available now

Batsbrew | The Time Is Magic | CD Baby

and i've been distracted by that....

low end on guitars, that's my favorite part!
LOL
you know, it's such a subjective thing, i actually have more low end on my guitar than is captured or mixed on the song.....
i like a lot of girth, and as it is, have already rolled off everything at 80hz down on the guitars.

thanks for listening

Ratt.... they were an 80's band, right?
not that familiar, i'll go hunt that down and give a listen....
this riff, has been around for quite some time, it's just a good old fashioned swamp boogie....
i don't know, did ratt do a lot of slowed-down boogies?
thanks for commenting....

PDP
thanks man, appreciate it!

hehe, it IS a commercial release.... it was on my first album, "Trouble", but is since out of print.
should i re-release it?
it came out in 2006

proggy edged vox, yep, that's kinda where i am with it.
i've got a lot of real basic vocal influences (beatles, rundgren, eagles, stones) but also like stuff like queen, and alice in chains, and stuff that i guess falls into a more progressive category.
i like the idea of taking a fairly progressive riff, and putting smooth melody (hooky) over the top.

just getting dialed into that stuff more and more these days....
definitely on the song writing-style journey..
thanks for listening!
