my two amp choices have been pretty much these for awhile. i've been thinking, which one do you think would be better suited towards indie rock. like mogwai or godspeed? the fender bassman head, or the 65 reverb combo?
take care,
rob

PS. i've been thinking if i get the bassman head, i would pair it up with a marshall cab.

Have you ever played through a Bassman head? I've got a '65 Blackface, and it's an absolutely beautiful amp. Excellent acoustic, clean Tele, actually, a great amp. But if you're digging Mogwai and Godspeed, i'd go play one first.

I have both amps as well as the Marshall Cab. and can't say enough about either set-up.

When I was playing out I used the Bassman as clean raw power running to the Marshall with as effects board in front.

There is no better amp on the planet than a 1965 Fender Super Reverb. "That's all I got to say about that." (Gump)

Can you bridge the channels in the Super Reverb, or are they out of phase?

There are no channels. Just two inputs. The first one skips the reverb and vibrato ciruitry.

You have the dry channel and the wet channel, each with a high and low input. The amp doesn't switch channels like on a modern amp.

But my question was: are the channels in phase with each other, so you can bridge the channels like a bassman/ plexi/ model T, or are they out of phase so you cannot, like most of Fender's reverb circuits?
