anybody here play bass guitar live in put um into their beats...... i've seen it done before and im thinking about getting a little bass starter kit so i can learn to play.. i'va always wanted to play guitar anyway i think this would be a good idea.....

My 16 yr old Son plays the bass well, and he has made some beats in FL and Reason and he played live bass over it......It's cool too! I'll try and post something that he has done.............
It's a different change from the repetitious bass lines in a lot of hiphop, it gives you the opportunity to try different riffs and licks that you can't get from keyboard.

I've never done it, but I've mixed a ton of it for clients. Always sounds better live, in my opinion.

thats wat i was thinking.... id love to be able to play multible instruments and then sample them to make beats..... i think thats my new goal...... o course it will take a lot of money and practice but i think that would change the game lol........

that's a very good idea, as learning a different instrument would increase your composition skills. the bass is the only thing missing in my Lab (i'm sort of learning all of them).

by the way look into a 5 string bass my "uncle" likes it for the hip hop basslines.
