Whats a good compressor for live bass? Around $100-120 or so?

Art TubePac. I love it for recording, and have used it live for a di with compression a few times, too. Its super fat, if thats the sound you're looking for. If you want crystal hifi like for a 6 string bass, it's probably not your thing. But rock/pop/hiphop, its awesome.

Thanks for the reply. im playin punk. like...crazy punk, not homoerotic punk. Our bassist doesnt know anything about playing at steady volumes. So i think a compressor will learn him somethin good, I tell ya what boy. Hes playin a 4 string, and lookin for a fat sound with a well defined hi end. The Aphex Punch Factory. He'll like it 'coz it will make him sound fat, you'll like it 'cos it will tame his levels. You'll need to play with EQ to get the high end tho'
