You're not LISTENING, man.. I'm not putting no V in the god damned master EQ.
Jeeezus CHRIST Almighty.

Fuck this forum.
Tell me what that sentence means if it doesn't meant that you are mastering it with the curve.

I try to get my mixes to sound like I would normally play a song on any commercial system (slight V and added bass).

Anyway, just clips.. nothing real solid. Was bored and goofing around with my gear:

Got news for you, skippy -- your "boosted" version is clipping and distorting all over the place.... so much for your "listening environment"..........

I think you need to re-calibrate your ears........

I saw pimp my ride yesterday (stupid car tuning program on tv). They put a 23" woofer in the back of a car. Let me repeat that: a twen-ty-three-inch woofer.

Bassboost button eat your heart out, some might say.

23" is for pikers:

Yours for a mere $2,500 :D

rivv3t, what you are doing makes sense to me in a roundabout way. I expect that as you continue your exploration of sound, you'll realize that you have added a couple of steps and you could have saved yourself $17.95. But if it works for you . . .

Bear is right . . . you can't start with peaks at -0.02dB and add +5dB at 63Hz without mangling your track.

Which of these are you saying would be the final master  The flat isn't horrible, but you haven't left any room with peaks that high, so it's not a great mix for a premaster, and it's too quiet for a master. It wouldn't hurt to apply some compression during mixing, and shoot for peaks at -3dB at a maximum.

The boost, I don't know what you are trying to accomplish. It's not a good master, and if that was played on a system with a boost button

Okay.

So......if I wasn't talking to you..........why...in the fuck...did you reply to my post? It obviously wasn't intended for you.

Dude, you're a fuckin' moron. Learn a thing or two about audio before you start talking shit to people who know volumes more than you do on the subject. Go to K-Mart, buy your fuckin' extreme bass boost stereo, and have a blast with that.

Even the ones that work for "such and such a studio" because if they were really all that they wouldn't be wasting their precious time in here and that's a damned fact.

Yeah, tell that to Harvey Gerst and Joel Hamilton.
