bass blast

anybody here know how to generate that low bass blast without a pad of some sort? have a wav sample or anything? i hear it on a lot of albums similar to what i'm producing right now and i would like to incorporate that.

You can take a regular floor tom or kick drum sample and slow it down. Try earching for an 808 kick sample.

how to slow it down? something i've never done before . . . i've only recorded and eq'd. lol
