Anyone know the optimal placement of the mic when recording banjo?

Two county lines away from the banjo! 
Seriously, I use a condenser 2 feet out in front and a bit left of the player and get good results. I have also used a 57 in tight pointed at the neck for a sound which is more full. That's what works for me. Good luck, Dave.
