Well I just picked up 2 multipattern Samson C03 mics.and used it through a Berhringer ADA8000 pre into a HD24 I used them for drum OH and had pretty results for the cymbals (Zidjian K's) Then stuck it on my Washburn accoustic with a SM57 and combined both mics. and had great sounding accoustic guitar without tweaking with alot of EQ. After that I threw down some vocals with 2 singers usings the figur 8 pattern added a touch of comp/limt. and a touch of EQ. and also had good results. I know if I had alot higher end gear I would have pristine recordings and hat's off to you that has it. But who's buying you or me :o I just want to give a small review about low buget mics. bang for the buck and pass it along to those who are short on funds like myself. These are pretty decent entry level bang for the buck mic.

The question is, have you compared them to other mics? I thought a 57 on the bridge of an acoustic sounded pretty good, until I tried a SP B1. That was even better, until I got an AT4050. I'll be trying out the Multiface over the ART DI/O for converters this weekend. Next stop: John Hardy M1. :)

I won't argue that there is alot of better mics.but for bang for the buck this is a decent cheap mic. with a little extra,4 different patterns, pad,hi pass filter. in "my opinon olny" this is a great mic for the price. I'm talking value for price not high end qaulity. A Royer Ribbon mic. going thru a Neve pre would smoke this mic. I not recording commercial CD project's I'm just a hobbyest. I would love to have the best high end mics. and pre's,I'm just lucky I get to record at all. Peace out ;)
