Hi there, I have an interesting issue here.

I have been experimenting with recording at home, here are the details of my setup:

Mixing board going into Laptop through line-in port (I know this isn't optimal but I'm just trying to learn the basics before getting a usb interface), and I'm running Adobe Audition. I also am running AsioForAll as my asio driver.

Everything works swimmingly untill I reach exactly 1 minute 26 seconds in any file, when everything becomes choppy and glitchy and slows WAY down.

I don't believe it is a problem of space, I have 400g free in the drive where my temp folder is.

Does anyone know what could cause this?

Thanks abunch!

Overloading the CPU possibly? Do you have a CPU monitor on there? Not completely sure but it sounds like problem lying in the laptop.

I don't think it's the cpu, I have a fairly good one. If it were the cpu then it would bum out whenever it was really busy right?

I can open a fresh session and jump to 1:26 and it won't get past it

you mean on playback it wont make it past that mark? uh beats the hell out of me. Good luck.

No not playback, recording. It gets all juttery in recording.

Also, make sure what, exactly is not over 44.1?

Recording rate. if you have it set to high then maybe your computer will choke.
Almost sound like you have a demo version.

are you using a real version of audition? If not that may be the problem. Although it doesn't make so much sense why that would cause issues. What sample rate are you recording at?
