MR. LAST WORD
I got a real problem. What do you do about bad stage presence.Little movement, stumbling over words, not rapping at all in some spots.Let me know whats up.

I would say practice, practice, practice... till you feel comfortable on the stage..

Im sure the performers in here can give you a better reply..

keep going! it's going to be more noticeable to everyone if you stop and start over, or make a deal about how you forgot the next few lines. if you stutter or forget a line, come back in strong and finish out the song. most people won't know, or won't care. now, if you forget the whole verse, i'd make a joke about it and cover my tracks, lol.

LOL funny story one time I was doin a show and forgot some lines and some of my peoples in the audience knew the lines betta then I did (it was a old song but one of their favorites) So I laughed it off came back in when the beat dropped and keep rockin..... to me being on stage is all about Confidence just like when I in a cypher on the corner or at school.... or in the booth u wanna portray confidence..... even if your nervous u just gotta find that zone in knowing your stuff is good... other then that like BK said its practice yea I still get nervous when Im on stage to but after getting up there so many times the nerves start to die down.....
as far as the little movement goes I think thats nerves to..... but yea u gotta get the crowd invovled so unless u gettin your Jay-Z unplugged - song cry on and sittin on a stool gettin intimite with the crowd u need to be moving even if it is just from one end of the stage to the other lol hell im a big dude so please believe I aint got DMX energy on stage but still u gotta keep it movin....

I'll tell you what helped/helps me!
Be your worst critic, but that could be for stage and studio. Don't look for compliments, but when you know you did well, you'll know it! Watch tape on your performances and note what you could have done better and implement it into the next show. Practice regularly like BK said, then alot of your performance will come as 2nd nature. Know that there is a huge difference between the stage and practice, but they work hand in hand. One of the biggest things you hear in the industry, is how comfortable artists feels on stage. You need to make it your comfort zone and long to be there. I must add, everyone is not made for the stage, although others rock it naturally!!!!!!

the more u practice the more the movement comes to u . . . hell, c if u can find other groups' video footage online and study what they do - of course u should always go to other people's shows - even if u dont like them - lol - u can always learn new stuff from them . . . i have seen an array of dif. techniques - im still amazed to this day after seeing one em cee (this was over 3 years ago) get onstage solo - and he didnt move at all . . he stood center stage poised halfway bent over as if he was looking at one person in the mosh pit - and did 1 whole song - now it helped that the song he did matched perfectly to this delivery - he was a backpacker and he was punchin lines like a time-clock!!!!!! but folks was laffin at the beginning - and chantin his hook at the end . . .

i leanred that nite that its not about the movements, its about the confidence - it transcends it all - the movements help portray the confidence - but the confidence comes from within - it almost commands the movements

Check out the video on my myspace and tell me what you think about Wall B.We keep doing shows but his performances are killing us.Am I being too hard? I'm trying to push greatness. He got some heat we havent posted but I think we should get this down before we do anymore shows and cause any damage to the HOOD FUSION name.Get back at me.

i will check this out as soon as i get home - the master's slave whip is mighty powerful these days . . .

yea i just peeped it and his show wont bad imo..... aint much he can do movement wise wit a stage that size... i guess he could have tried to get the crowd involve a bit more and stop forgettin wrds but it sound like he was gettin winded more so the forgettin umm tho
