If you saved to the same file name, I think you're stuck with it (does Cubase have an 'undo'?) If it happens to you often, remember to save your old work to a new file name first - before you start changing things.
If you've got your original tracks, you may have to start from scratch again.

Starting from scratch actually is a very good idea, its like when you are playing bananagrams and your board isnt working so you ruin it and start over and come out with a better board.

I always use "Save as" and not simply "save", and name songs like this:

STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN 001
STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN 002
STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN 003

Saving song versions takes very little memory. Sometimes I'll have over 300 versions of a song. I'm in the habit of saving every time I do something that I'd be real pissed if I lost, so sometimes that means every 5 minutes.

From what I understand, some newer versions of Cubase save your history so you have unlimited undo.

well i think i will have to start it all over again :-) I have my tracks and oryginal version on a CD can i just copy it and use it as brand new ????
